As a Deli Assistant in our bustling grocery store, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products are accurately priced and displayed to provide our customers with a seamless shopping experience. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are the driving force behind maintaining the integrity of our pricing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Price Verification: Regularly verify the accuracy of product pricing throughout the store, including shelf tags, signage, and electronic systems.
  • Promotional Pricing: Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to implement and update promotional pricing, ensuring that discounts and special offers are correctly reflected.
  • Data Maintenance: Maintain and update product information, including pricing, descriptions, and codes in the store's computer systems.
  • Competitive Analysis: Keep an eye on competitors' pricing strategies and provide insights to help our store remain competitive in the market.
  • Communication: Coordinate with various departments within the store, including inventory management and merchandising, to ensure pricing accuracy and consistency.
  • Customer Support: Assist customers with pricing inquiries and discrepancies, demonstrating exceptional customer service.
  • Price Change Implementation: Execute price changes promptly and accurately, following store policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Control: Contribute to inventory control efforts by identifying pricing discrepancies that may affect stock levels and sales.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pricing regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the use of pricing and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and grocery industry trends is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is typically required, with additional education or related experience as a bonus.
